Kevin Mays,
M.D.
Dr. Mays joined PAKC in 1996 after he completed a Psychiatry residency at the University of Arkansas – Medical Sciences. He is board certified in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. After growing up in the Kansas City area, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Missouri – Kansas City before obtaining his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
Dr. Mays was the founding psychiatric director of the Sage Senior Behavioral Health Unit at Cass Regional Medical Center; which he opened in December 1997. He stepped down from that role in 2014. Dr. Mays treats patients in inpatient, outpatient and nursing home settings and works with a range of patients from the age of four to the senior adult populations.
He has had extensive experience in treating all psychiatric disorders.
