Dr. Cole was raised in rural Kansas and earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He graduated with departmental honors in psychology from the University of Kansas. Dr. Cole served six years in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Army and received the Army Commendation Medal at the end of his service.
 
He has worked for decades through the American Psychiatric Association, on the local level as well as the national level, to help advance the treatment of anxiety and depression and other disorders.
 
In 2016 he was one of four individuals to receive the Community Service Award at an event at Research Medical Center. The other leaders honored included the Kansas City Chief of Parks and Recreation, the Dean of the Rockhurst University/Research College of Nursing, and the lead pastor of one of the area’s largest churches.
 
In recent years, Dr. Cole has become particularly interested in TMS, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. As an active member in the Clinical TMS Society, he is knowledgeable with the current advances in TMS devices, such as recent refinements in the stimulation head. He is enthusiastic about pending developments, such as the expansion of TMS to other disorders such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. But he is equally enthusiastic about current TMS, which provides the means for patient to continue their jobs or other activities, while they are experiencing significant relief from depression.
 
Dr. Cole treats patients for ADD/ADHD, alcoholism and/or substance abuse/use, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, conduct disorder, personality disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, postpartum depression, depression, eating disorder, and schizophrenia. His services include medication management, Ketamine, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, and ECT consultation

Dr. Cole was recently featured on KSHB-TV discussing treatment for patients who do not respond to antidepressant medication.


Steven D. Segraves, M.D.

 
Dr Segraves was born and raised in the Kansas City area. He attended the University of Kansas, where he received a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration. He attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine, graduating in 1986, and completed a psychiatry residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 1990.
 
Dr Dr Segraves is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is subspecialty boarded in Geriatric Psychiatry. He is currently on staff at Cass Regional Medical Center, and is Psychiatric Director of the Monarch Behavioral Health Unit at Cameron (MO) Regional Medical Center.
 
Dr Segraves treats adults and seniors, across a wide variety of diagnoses. He utilizes medication, ketamine therapy, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). He performs consultations for appropriateness for electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). Dr Segraves participates in PAKC’s developing clinical trial programs.
 
An avid sports fan, Dr Segraves follows Sporting KC, the Royals, Chiefs, and his Jayhawks. Leisure activities include working in the yard, reading, walking, and enjoying time with his dogs.

Dr. Mays joined PAKC in 1996 after he completed a Psychiatry residency at the University of Arkansas – Medical Sciences. He is board certified in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. After growing up in the Kansas City area, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Missouri – Kansas City before obtaining his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
 
Dr. Mays was the founding psychiatric director of the Sage Senior Behavioral Health Unit at Cass Regional Medical Center; which he opened in December 1997. He stepped down from that role in 2014. Dr. Mays treats patients in inpatient, outpatient and nursing home settings and works with a range of patients from the age of four to the senior adult populations.
 
He has had extensive experience in treating all psychiatric disorders. Dr. Mays is currently taking new patients.

Lolitta E. Aznaurova, M.D.

 
Lolitta E Aznaurova received her Medical Doctorate at the Azerbaijan State Medical Institute in 1979. She completed a residency program at the Clinical Psycho-Neurological Hospital in the country’s capital of Baku, and practiced neurology in Germany and Russia for eight years. Once in the United States, Dr. Aznaurova completed her internship and residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She is board certified in Psychiatry.
 
Dr. Aznaurova sees patients in an outpatient setting. She treats patient ages 21 and older for pharmaceutical management, and evaluates/performs ECT. Dr. Aznaurova is accepting new patients and can accommodate most appointment availability needs. She performs Ketamine therapy and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

Dr. Dr. Van Horn is a native of Kansas City. He attended Avila University. He earned his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his residency at the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry. He also completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Stanford University School of Medicine. He has been in practice with Psychiatry Associates of Kansas City since 2001.
 
Dr. Van Horn is board certified in both General and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He has specific interests in the treatment of Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Disruptive Disorders of childhood, Anxiety and Trauma related disorders, Depression and Bipolar Disorders, and Schizophrenia.
 
Every year since 2007, Dr. Van Horn has been included on the list of Kansas City Super Doctors. His focus is working collaboratively with patients, families, and therapists to provide evidence based, compassionate, patient centered care.
 
In his free, time he most enjoys being with his wife and three children. He also supports the arts and local sports.
 
He sees children and adolescents as well as special populations of adult clients.

Michael Everson, M.D.

 
Dr. Everson completed his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center, then earned his advanced degree from the Creighton University School of Medicine. He is board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
 
He focuses on the treatment of ADD/ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, and postpartum depression. His services include medication management, Ketamine, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation.

Dr. Hachinsky was born in Kansas City, Missouri and in 1991 graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a B.S. degree. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995. Dr. Hachinsky completed his internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and served two years on the USS Inchon as the medical officer. Dr. Hachinsky completed his residency at the National Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Virginia in 2001. He then served at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune as a staff psychiatrist and department head for mental health from 2001 to 2004.
 
He is currently on staff Cass Regional Medical Center and Cameron Regional Medical Center. Dr. Hachinsky is board certified in Psychiatry. He sees patients 18 and older in both inpatient and outpatient settings for pharmaceutical management, and evaluates for ECT appropriateness. Ely A. Tamano, M.D.

 
Dr. Tamano earned a degree in Psychology with a double minor in Philosophy and Theology from St. Louis University. He graduated from medical school at Our Lady of Fatima Medical College in the Philippines. He completed his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
 
As a partner of Psychiatry Associates of Kansas City, Dr. Tamano served as Medical Director of Shawnee Mission Medical Center’s Behavioral Department. Currently, he is Co-Medical Director of Advanced Psychiatric Solutions of Kansas City. His practice focuses on psychiatry for adults, adolescents, geriatric patients and those dealing with addiction. He participates in clinical trials for advancement of psychotropic medications, Ketamine, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation.
 
Dr. Tamano played high school sports in St. Louis and still follows the Cardinals, Blues and Billikens, but he now supports the Royals, Chiefs and Jayhawks.

Irfan A. Handoo was born in Columbia, Maryland. He grew up in Leawood, Kansas and graduated from Blue Valley North High School. Dr. Handoo earned his undergraduate degree from UMKC and his Medical Doctorate at the UMKC School of Medicine in 2005. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Handoo completed his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center at Wichita, where he also completed a fellowship in psychopharmacology. He does have experience in residency as a sub-investigator for clinical research trials. Dr. Handoo is Board Certified in Psychiatry and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.
 
Dr. Handoo has been published in several journals, including The Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology. He sees patients for a wide variety of disorders, including but not limited to Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, ADHD, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Eating Disorders, and Personality Disorders.
 
Dr. Handoo has a clinical interest in Treatment-Resistant Depression and does see patients for IV ketamine treatments for depression and TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) for treatment-resistant depression.
 
He sees patients ages 15 and older in the adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations at PAKC’s office in Leawood. Dr. Handoo is fluent in English, Spanish, and Urdu. He sees patients for both medication management and psychotherapy and is accepting new patients.

Erick Brown, D.O.

 
Dr. Brown is a graduate of Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he completed his training as Chief Resident. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
 
Dr. Brown specializes in the treatment of adults affected by ADHD, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, schizophrenia and dementia. His services include medication management, Ketamine infusions, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, and Electroconvulsive Therapy.
 
After growing up in Bellevue, Nebraska, he has remained a fan of the Cornhuskers while supporting the Royals and Chiefs. His interests include traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Andrew Segraves graduated from the University of Kansas School of Business with a degree in Management and Leadership. He then completed his medical school training at Touro University Nevada in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Segraves obtained his Psychiatry training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He is board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
 
Dr. Segraves focuses on medication management of psychiatric disorders. He also utilizes other treatments for mood disorders including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Ketamine therapy. While Dr. Segraves typically manages the medical treatments of psychiatric disorders, he is also an advocate for a holistic approach to treatment including psychotherapy and lifestyle changes.
 
Dr. Segraves sees patients 14 and older and is currently taking new patients.

Sasha G. Hamdani, M.D.

 
A native of Santa Barbara, California, Dr. Hamdani studied at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, and is a graduate of the 6-year accelerated B.A./M.D. program. She completed the first three years of her residency in General Psychiatry at Banner Good Samaritan in Phoenix, then moved back to Kansas City to finish her final year of training at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
 
Her clinical interests include ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Professional affiliations include the American Psychiatric Association and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
 
In 2001, Dr. Hamdani founded WorldHarmonyOnline.org, a non-profit dedicated to creation of a non-violent world with access to technology, healthcare and education. Dr. Hamdani treats patients 6 years and older.

Dr. Jaclyn Legg earned her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences while simultaneously obtaining a Masters of Arts in Bioethics. Dr. Legg then completed both her General Psychiatry Residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She is an active member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Legg was born and raised in the Kansas City area. She is married with two young children and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Meredith graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a B.S. in Psychology and attended the University of Kansas for graduate school. After years of working in residential treatment with adolescents, Meredith accepted the position of Physician Assistant at PAKC in 2010. She has since helped to launch the TMS and Ketamine programs at PAKC in 2016. She is also a certified Magstim technician.
 
Meredith believes in the life changing potential of TMS and is excited to help bring transformation to our patients, and see them return to a healthier life.
 
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. In her free time she is interested in genealogy and loves to travel.

My name is Sabrina, I graduated from Wright Business school as a certified registered medical assistant and surgical technician in 1998. I have worked in the medical field over 20 plus years, including emergency room, labor & delivery and as a lead phlebotomist. I’ve has the pleasure of working for PAKC since MAGSTIM TMS started here as their first technician.
 
God knew what he was doing by putting me here in this position, I’m very passionate about helping people with depression see (the color of life) and watching the beautiful transformation. In my spare time I love teaching Zumba and working out, and playing with my fur babies Ceasar and Bellaboo. I am the proud mom of (4) adult children which 2 are serving in the US NAVY and US AIRFORCE. A funny thing about me, when I get a bag M&M’s I pick the red and blue ones out and then eat the other colors.

My name is Kim and I am your chair 2 TMS technician. I have been in healthcare over half my life and have had a rewarding career as a medical assistant, as a 1st assist in the operating room and teaching up and coming medical assistants. Being at PAKC has been a great experience and I feel excited as each new patient starts TMS.
 
It is very rewarding to help patients through their treatments and get to know them. It is wonderful thing to see the depression diminish and the light come back into patients eyes.
