Christopher R. Van Horn,
D.O.
Dr. Van Horn is a native of Kansas City. He attended Avila University. He earned his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his residency at the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry. He also completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Stanford University School of Medicine. He has been in practice with Psychiatry Associates of Kansas City since 2001.
Dr. Van Horn is board certified in both General and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He has specific interests in the treatment of Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Disruptive Disorders of childhood, Anxiety and Trauma related disorders, Depression and Bipolar Disorders, and Schizophrenia.
Every year since 2007, Dr. Van Horn has been included on the list of Kansas City Super Doctors. His focus is working collaboratively with patients, families, and therapists to provide evidence based, compassionate, patient centered care.
In his free, time he most enjoys being with his wife and three children. He also supports the arts and local sports.
He sees children and adolescents as well as special populations of adult clients.
