Ely A. Tamano,
M.D.
Dr. Tamano earned a degree in Psychology with a double minor in Philosophy and Theology from St. Louis University. He graduated from medical school at Our Lady of Fatima Medical College in the Philippines. He completed his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
As a partner of Psychiatry Associates of Kansas City, Dr. Tamano served as Medical Director of Shawnee Mission Medical Center’s Behavioral Department. Currently, he is Co-Medical Director of Advanced Psychiatric Solutions of Kansas City. His practice focuses on psychiatry for adults, adolescents, geriatric patients and those dealing with addiction. He participates in clinical trials for advancement of psychotropic medications and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation.
Dr. Tamano played high school sports in St. Louis and still follows the Cardinals, Blues and Billikens, but he now supports the Royals, Chiefs and Jayhawks.
